The Technical Recruiter will manage full cycle recruiting for technical roles, focusing on building a diverse candidate pipeline and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

Voltage Park is on a mission to make machine learning infrastructure accessible to all, from large enterprises and research universities to seed-stage startups and nonprofits. Providing seamless access to compute with pricing and inventory transparency is the future of access to GPUs, and we are the only cloud provider offering a platform that shows all available GPUs with transparent, market-based pricing, in addition to long-term reserve contracts for our customers.

We’re in search of a well-rounded Technical Recruiter to play a critical role in building Voltage Park’s BFT (best functioning team). We’re looking for somebody with start-up or MANGO-level tech experience who understands how the different roles within a tech company fit together – ideally, you’ve worked across multiple teams, such as engineering, product and sales. You’ll be championing inclusive, equitable hiring processes and providing a best-in-class candidate experience, while building trust with teams throughout our organization – starting with our AI software engineering group and expanding to other teams within the org.

This is a hybrid role, and you must be located in the Seattle area in order to go to our office in Redmond when you have candidates in final interviews, and to events and team meetings as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Full cycle recruiting for tech roles across the organization, with a focus on our AI software engineering and infrastructure teams

  • Sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates

  • Managing negotiations and offers

  • Building a diverse pipeline of candidates, including those who are traditionally excluded from the tech space

  • Helping to maintain and improve an equitable and scalable interview process

  • Provide an exceptional experience for all candidates, whether they get to offer or not, with an emphasis on communication and responsiveness

  • Be an active participant in online and in-person communities, helping to build our brand and your network

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a technical recruiter hiring software engineers, including experience in a high-growth tech company

  • An enthusiasm for AI – you’re a regular user of new AI technology in work and in life

  • A deep commitment to building an inclusive, equitable hiring culture

  • Proactive communication – whether it’s to candidates, or your own hiring managers and team, you keep folks in the know

  • Bias to action - you’re comfortable with being pleasantly persistent to help move jobs and offers forward

  • You’re a networker, and well connected within the Seattle tech community

  • A respect for scalable processes, and a natural inclination to build and improve on those in place

  • ATS expertise (we use Ashby, but Greenhouse, Lever, or similar also counts)

  • Phenomenal customer service skills, with a compassion for candidates in the job-seeking process

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

  • High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills with a track record of developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with and among a diverse group of stakeholders at all levels

Voltage Park is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic under federal, state, or local law. If you require an accommodation during the job application process, please notify your recruiter.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
