Own full-cycle technical recruiting across hardware, software, AI/ML, and generalist roles. Responsibilities include sourcing niche candidates, partnering with hiring managers, developing job descriptions and interview processes, managing candidate pipelines, negotiating offers, maintaining recruiting infrastructure, tracking hiring metrics, and supporting employer branding. The recruiter will help build the company’s talent function and processes from the ground up in a fast-moving startup environment.
About Andrenam
We’re building sonar and sensing systems that bring light to the last dark domain: the ocean. Our team includes alumni from SpaceX, Anduril, ABL, Palantir and Qualia. We build full-stack—from physics to perception to product—with speed, elegance, and an unwavering commitment to the mission.
We believe the maritime domain will define the next century of economics, geopolitics, and global security. We're here to shape it.
About this role
Andrenam is growing fast, and we're looking for a Technical Recruiter to join as the second member of our Talent team. You'll own select roles at full-cycle capacity — from sourcing through offer close — across engineering and hardware, with some GTM and business hiring mixed in, partnering closely with the Talent Lead and hiring managers along the way. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and wants to help build our recruiting function and process from the ground up.
This role is hybrid, based out of our Torrance office (2-3 days per week in office).
In this role, you will:
- Run full-cycle searches — from sourcing through offer close — across hardware, software, AI/ML, and technical/generalist roles
- Partner with hiring managers to define roles, writing job descriptions that attract the right people and interview processes that evaluate them well
- Build and manage your own top-of-funnel pipelines for hard-to-fill, niche technical searches — via sourcing, events, referrals, and creative channels
- Run a recruiting process, from outreach to offer, that delivers a best-in-class candidate experience
- Own and support the recruiting infrastructure needed to scale (ATS hygiene, scorecards, candidate tracking, calibration loops)
- Track and report on pipeline and hiring metrics (funnel conversion, time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate) to keep your searches and overall hiring performance on track
- Partner with the Talent Lead and team on employer brand — help build out messaging, campaigns, and other ways we show up externally, and translate that into sharper outbound and sourcing messaging
- Represent Andrenam with clarity and conviction to every candidate, from outreach to offer close
What we’re looking for:
- 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a tech focus (GTM and business recruiting exposure is a plus, not required)
- Direct experience recruiting for defense, aerospace, hardware, or robotics roles — or closely adjacent deep-tech
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Series B or earlier), comfortable building pipeline and process from scratch with minimal recruiting infrastructure
- Strong track record closing candidates on hard-to-fill or niche technical searches, including comp negotiation
- Excellent sourcing and candidate assessment skills
- Clear, compelling communicator with the ability to build relationships with both candidates and hiring managers
- Highly organized and self-directed; thrives in fast-moving, low-structure environments
- Motivated by mission and able to connect with candidates beyond just comp and perks
Why join us?
Andrenam is an innovative, mission-driven company at the intersection of maritime autonomy and defense. We offer:
- Competitive salary
- Long-term equity incentive program with significant growth potential.
- Flexible PTO and paid holidays.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance.

- Lunch and snacks provided in office.
- Access to a unique work environment, blending technology, maritime, and defense.

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.
