About the Role

We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter with experience in the aerospace industry to help us scale. This is not just a back-office role - we’re looking for someone who’s out in the world, building relationships, mapping talent markets, and pulling future teammates into our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Hunt down top-tier engineering, manufacturing, and operations talent - wherever they are

  • Lead outbound recruiting efforts for engineering, manufacturing, and technical operations roles

  • Build and maintain pipelines of aerospace professionals across core disciplines (mechanical, GNC, avionics, manufacturing, test, systems)

  • Engage top candidates with tailored outreach, personalized follow-up, and deep relationship-building

  • Partner with hiring leads to define role requirements, align on candidate quality, and drive fast hiring decisions

  • Represent Reflect Orbital at industry events, conferences, and in talent-facing forums

Ideal Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience recruiting in the aerospace industry (either in-house or agency)

  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing world-class technical talent - especially engineers and hardware specialists

  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and driven by results

  • Exceptional communicator with a bias for action and follow-through

  • Ability to manage a high volume of searches with urgency and precision

  • Experience with Ashby or other modern applicant tracking systems

  • Familiarity with ITAR/export-controlled hiring environments

  • Background in hardware startups or high-growth tech companies

Even if you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, we are likely still interested in hearing from you. Hiring exceptional individuals is our #1 priority, and we believe that exceptional people often have highly unusual backgrounds.

We are also interested in carving out unique roles for unconventional people that we are excited about working with.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
