RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Technical Project Manager for Security and member of our Engineering Internship Program, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the design, development, and operation of security capabilities needed to build and operate mission-critical spacecraft systems. Internship responsibilities may include:
- Enterprise Security:
- Design and implement security processes, workflows, and tracking frameworks for enterprise
- systems.
- Build documentation, templates, and tooling foundations (leveraging Jira, Confluence, and other platforms).

- Research secure development best practices and recommend approaches tailored to spacecraft systems.
- Support establishment of secure development lifecycle processes and security testing frameworks.

- Industrial Security:
- Support development of physical security and OPSEC processes for manufacturing and integration environments.
- Help establish access control frameworks and security monitoring for production facilities.

- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC):
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms for security program health and compliance posture.
- Conduct research on regulatory requirements (ITAR, NIST, CMMC) and their application.

- Identify a gap or challenge within our security program, develop a solution, and pitch your recommendation to leadership. Upon approval, lead implementation.
- Prototype solutions and pilot new security initiatives with cross-functional teams.

- Collaborate closely with mentors and team members to apply your knowledge and develop technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork, interacting with engineers from various disciplines to solve complex challenges.
- Showcase your work through presentations or project reviews.
- Participate in social and professional events with fellow interns and employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related engineering discipline at a four-year accredited university.
- Experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technical program management (internships, laboratory, academic, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
- Must be able to work full time (40 hours per week), on-site in Denver, CO for 12 consecutive weeks.
- Co-Op Programs will run concurrent with University Semester dates
- Intern Program will run May - August 2026
- Must be able to provide own transportation and housing.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Have completed their Junior and/or Senior year.
- GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Passionate about cybersecurity and believes effective solutions must integrate people, process, and technology.
- Resilient problem-solving attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Military experience or veteran status, particularly in cybersecurity, intelligence, or space operations.
COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: $28/hour
