Role Overview

The Technical Program Manager is a member of the program management staff with primary responsibility for managing programs of varying size and complexity from inception to launch across various program areas.

What you’ll do:

  • Work independently with some general instruction on moderate sized projects as assigned. Execute with minimal supervision but receive guidance as needed from Sr. Technical Program Managers.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Closely work with product, QA, and engineering owners across geographies to plan and prioritize the product and sprint backlogs based on the roadmap and overall project schedule.
  • Identify key issues, risks, and work out mitigation plans with support as needed.
  • Manage communication of progress and status.
  • Collaborate closely with the owners and stakeholders in facilitating the definition of requirements for each project.
  • Identify key issues, risks, and come up with suitable mitigation plans to resolve those issues and unblock the teams.
  • Gather metrics and provide regular status updates to executives, project teams, and key internal and external stakeholders involved.
  • Maintain various tools, reports, and documentation for the engineering teams – JIRA boards, Wiki/SharePoint spaces, Capitalization and Accrual reports, Resource Allocation, etc.
  • Help define process enhancements and best practices that pertain to smoother execution and delivery.
  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Who you are:

  • B.S in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
  • 2 years of experience as a Software TPM 
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Adaptability and the ability to display mastery of new concepts.
  • Tenacity for executing projects and creating robust and reliable products.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Jira and Confluence.
  • 2+ years of Agile experience in Scrum / Kanban frameworks a plus.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
