What You’ll Do

As a (Technical) Product Manager, you will lead the definition, development, and delivery of software products that support safety-critical autonomous systems. This role emphasizes platform development and operational tooling that scales across customer needs.

 

You will be responsible for driving product discovery, engaging deeply with users, and translating complex technical requirements into clear product strategies. You will collaborate closely with engineering, safety domain experts, and customer-facing teams to ensure that what we build is both usable and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and manage product roadmaps that reflect customer needs, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives
  • Engage regularly with users to gather feedback, validate ideas, and refine product direction
  • Translate customer workflows and pain points into clear product requirements and functional specifications
  • Partner with engineering, safety experts, and customer success to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
  • Establish and maintain structured product discovery practices to keep customer insights at the center of development
  • Advocate for usability, adoption, and user experience across all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to product vision and long-term planning by identifying market trends and user needs
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a technical subject matter expert, contributing to infrastructure, security, and engineering decisions, and providing technical oversight.
 

Required Qualifications 
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, systems engineering, or software development
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or physics
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
    Proven track record of delivering complex technical products with measurable impact
  • Strong ability to engage with users, synthesize feedback, and inform product decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Data Analysis: Analyze product performance metrics and user data to gain insights, inform product decisions, and measure the impact of features.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments where priorities may evolve
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
     

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries
  • Background in safety-critical systems, robotics, machine learning infrastructure, simulation, or digital engineering
    Experience with platform-focused development, such as APIs, SDKs, extensible architectures, or developer tools
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as UL 4600, ISO 26262, DO-178C, or MIL-STD-882
  • Technical fluency and ability to participate in architectural discussions

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position is $130,000.00-150,000.00. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Edge Case considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

Washington state applicants only: Full-time employees accrue at least 13 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; and receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
