The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Product Manager who thrives on deep customer engagement and technical discovery. You'll collaborate directly with customer technical stakeholders to gain deep understanding of their technical environments. This includes analyzing their on-premise and cloud compute, network architecture, access control systems, and security cameras to steer our product development to ensure HiveWatch integrates seamlessly within their operational ecosystem. This isn't a role for high-level strategy; you'll get your hands dirty understanding how our products integrate with diverse customer environments and translate those insights into clear, actionable functional requirements for your team.

Success means becoming a subject matter expert on both our products and the customer systems they integrate with. You'll spend significant time with customers, speak the language of IT administrators and security teams, then communicate effectively with our engineering teams. Your deep customer knowledge will directly inform product decisions, development priorities, and testing strategies—ensuring our solutions work seamlessly in complex, real-world environments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Work directly with customers to understand their technical infrastructure and systems to define clear requirements for seamless integration with our product
  • Own and know back-to-front our technical products, including cloud and edge video infrastructure, IoT infrastructure and event pipeline, and comprehensive security integration portfolio
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver quality assured technical products using Scrum or similar frameworks
  • Work with our technical partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to to prioritize and execute on product roadmap initiatives 
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Work from our headquarters in El Segundo, CA
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TRAITS:
  • 5+ years in technical product management or equivalent technical experience role, building and shipping B2B products for enterprise customers
  • Strong background in infrastructure technologies, with experience in IP cameras/ Video Management Systems (VMS), IoT systems, or event-driven pipelines
  • Technical fluency with cloud platforms, edge computing, and distributed systems architecture
  • Experience managing relationships with customers and technical stakeholders - in a project or program management capacity is preferred
  • Mastery in driving prioritization, scoping, and delivery of new and enhanced product features
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and complexity within fast-paced product development cycles
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Startup experience
  • Experience in the security industry
  • Prior experience in software engineering or QA
  • Knowledge of software architecture models, security, and scalability
  • Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures
  • Networking experience and/or being able to sit in on early/potential customer calls to qualify new deployment requirements

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 USD per year
  • Eligible to participate in HiveWatch Equity Incentive Plan

*The final offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of relevant experience and expertise, location, and other business considerations.
