We’re looking for a Technical Producer to lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge physical and digital experiences. This role combines creative technology, AV systems, and event production. You’ll oversee complex builds from prototype to launch, work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams, and help shape the operational foundation of a fast-moving team. The ideal candidate brings both hands-on production expertise and the experience to drive large-scale activations with precision. Significant travel is expected. This is a full-time position.
What you’ll do:
Lead the technical development and deployment of high-impact experiential activations that bring Snap’s products and technology to life in the real world
Own the end-to-end technical production lifecycle, from ideation and scoping through build, testing, and launch
Serve as the technical lead across multiple concurrent projects, balancing hands-on execution with vendor coordination, risk management, and technical oversight
Partner with product, engineering, hardware, design, legal, marketing, and sales teams to translate complex product features into clear, engaging physical experiences
Act as technical owner and escalation point for in-market activations, ensuring reliability and quality
Develop and refine operational and deployment systems that allow activations to scale globally
Collaborate with internal creative technologists to prototype and validate new experiential concepts
Write clear project briefs and postmortems; maintain technical documentation and build standards for repeatable deployment.
Mentor junior producers and technologists, sharing knowledge and building team excellence
Continuously evaluate new vendors, tools, and technologies to strengthen Snap’s experiential technical stack
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Direct experience integrating technology as a component of physical space design and experiential environments; expertise in the current state of experiential design and technology
Experience with production technologies such as AV systems, video projection, media servers
Experience with Windows, Mac, mobile, IoT and networking systems
Strong product and UX sensibilities
Fluency, written and verbal, conveying technical concepts and solutions to non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate well with many different internal teams and stakeholders
An ability to learn and work in a variety of business applications for such processes as scheduling, project tracking, vendor management, purchasing, and inventory management. Experience with JIRA is a plus
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of technical production experience in a live event environment OR a professional degree (creative technology, event production) with 2+ years of experience in a related field
Portfolio of previous projects / events that demonstrate your experience in this space
Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Creative Technology, events technical production, or a similar role
General knowledge in Lens Studio and creative software such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Disguise, Notch, Touch Designer, Blender, Adobe Suite
Valid California Driver's License (or the ability to obtain)
Valid Passport for international travel (or ability to obtain)
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs unassisted
Experience working in a start-up environment or tech company

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):
The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$196,000 annually.
Zone B:
The base salary range for this position is $124,000-$186,000 annually.Zone C:
The base salary range for this position is $111,000-$167,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
