Job Description

Intelerad is seeking a Technical Implementation Specialist II to lead the delivery of complex technical and workflow implementation services for our Radiology Healthcare IT solutions. Operating with increased autonomy, you will design integration workflows, configure and validate enterprise systems, and guide clients through complex go-lives. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management, Applications, and Workflow teams, and will contribute to continuous improvement by sharing implementation insights across the organization.

InteleShare is Intelerad’s medical image exchange platform, used by healthcare organizations to securely share imaging studies and related clinical information across facilities, providers, and care networks. This role will be part of the Technical Services group for the InteleShare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HL7/DICOM integration design, configuration, and deployment for complex client environments, ensuring alignment with clinical goals and Intelerad best practices.

  • Diagnose and resolve advanced technical and workflow issues across applications, integrations, and infrastructure, both remotely and on-site.

  • Partner with Project Management to drive system integration and functionality milestones, providing regular status updates to clients and third-party vendors.

  • Design and deliver structured training programs for end users and administrators, adapting delivery to meet diverse learning needs and clinical settings.

  • Document and maintain implementation artifacts — including configurations, workflows, and architecture changes — and contribute findings to post-implementation reviews that drive process improvement.

  • Assist with TS requests which may include custom reports, queries, identifying bugs, complex DICOM/HL7 migrations or workflows.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Medical Imaging Sciences, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT implementation, system integration, or a related technical role.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with HL7/DICOM standards and experience configuring healthcare system integrations.

  • Proficiency with Linux command-line interface and experience with SQL databases (e.g., Sybase, PostgreSQL, MS SQL).

  • Valid government-issued identification; eligibility for security-related clearance where required.

  • Ability to travel as required to support on-site client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of radiology workflows, including modality, PACS, RIS, and clinical imaging processes.

  • Experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Understanding of API architecture and working with data formats such as JSON.

  • Experience mentoring junior implementation staff or delivering structured clinical training programs.

  • Exposure to enterprise go-live planning and change management in healthcare environments.

  • Working knowledge of AWS cloud technologies.

  • PostgreSQL database and query development.

  • Familiarity with Python notebook development, Visual Studio Code, GitHub, and AWS SageMaker.

  • Knowledge of InteleShare and/or Image Exchange platforms.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
