Position Summary
Coalfire is looking for a Technical Editor that is highly skilled at reviewing and providing corrective feedback on customer-facing documentation. This is a great opportunity to work as a part of the Quality team and make an impact while contributing to the overall success of client projects. The Technical Editor reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) and is responsible for performing quality reviews of Coalfire’s deliverables within the Quality Management System (QMS) scope.
What You'll Do
- Provide quality control (QC) reviews of customer-facing and internal documents with specific focus on consistency, clarity, and conciseness for at least two verticals
- Ensure that deliverable content follows standard templates, conforms to Coalfire brand guidelines, and is in accordance with Coalfire policies, processes, and guidance
- Enforce consistent use of templates
- Complete QC checks for each client-facing document reviewed
- Identify and log risks and issues for analysis
- Properly store records of work and revisions, including the reviewed document, checklist, and template.
What You'll Bring
- 0-2 years’ experience in technical writing or technical editing of documentation and reports
- Detail oriented
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
- Ability to positively and effectively develop business relationships with a variety of personalities and individuals
- Ability to formulate sound decisions using available information
- Ability to work independently and prioritize numerous activities while meeting customer deadlines
Bonus Points
- Experience with or knowledge of FedRAMP, SOC, ISO, HIPAA preferred, but not required.
