About the Job

Loopback Analytics is currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst.  The successful candidate will work directly with the Data Integration and Implementation teams to establish data flow between Loopback Analytics and its clients.  This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical teams, with a focus on understanding business needs and translating them into actionable data integration solutions.  This role requires a strong understanding of EHR data and workflow, business and process analysis skills, and healthcare data integration standards.

 

Job Duties to Include

  • Collaborate and Gather Insights: Partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to collect, document, and analyze business requirements related to data integration projects.
  • Define Data Solutions: Work alongside data architects and engineers to establish data mapping and transformation protocols between EHR/dispensing source systems and Loopback Analytics platforms.
  • Manage Data Assets: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Business Data Catalog to effectively manage and support Loopback's data assets.
  • Analyze Healthcare Data: Review and interpret data from clients' EHR and pharmacy dispensing systems to provide meaningful insights.
  • Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Establish and document data specifications to align with industry standards and healthcare compliance regulations.
  • Create Detailed Documentation: Prepare business and functional requirements, use cases, workflows, and data flow diagrams to support the Implementation team.
  • Optimize Processes: Continuously review and assess data integration processes, proposing enhancements based on business needs and feedback.
  • Report and Track Performance: Generate and share detailed reports on data integration performance and process metrics, promoting transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Stakeholder Engagements: Facilitate meetings and discussions to gather feedback, provide project updates, and address any challenges that arise.
  • Communicate Status Updates: Provide consistent project status updates to stakeholders, ensuring everyone is informed of progress and key developments.
  • Support Daily Operations: Assist with daily data mapping activities to maintain business continuity and deliver high-quality service.


Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of EHR systems (e.g. EPIC, Cerner, or Allscripts) and dispensing systems (e.g. EPIC WAM, ScriptPro, McKesson, ComputerRx)
  • Understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and healthcare data
  • Understanding of data management principles, data integration, and data quality
  • Experience writing data specifications, preferably HL7, FHIR or ETL/ELT pipelines (processing and transforming raw data into usable formats)
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics)
