A New Paradigm For Space Operations.Who We Are:

Space Kinetic is a dual use space technology startup building a completely new architecture for space operations – one that brings the advantages of proliferated drone technology (low-cost, operationally flexible, attainable, distributed) to space missions while reducing the ecosystem's reliance on consumable fuel. In a world where many companies are focused on incrementally improving the status quo, we are focused on creating something entirely different – an architecture underpinned by new first principles to meet the opportunities and challenges of the third space age head-on. Our goal is to move away from one-to-one space architectures – where each satellite in a constellation has one (or a small # of) primary payloads attached to the bus -- and unlock a ‘one-to-many’ system, where each satellite has a large number of payloads which can be deployed from their host spacecraft at high velocities without firing a thruster.

This is not a role for someone looking for a traditional 40-hour work week. Space Kinetic is building ambitious, first-of-its-kind technology, and that requires urgency, ownership, and a high level of commitment to changing the foundational assumptions for everything we do in space.

What You’ll Do:

Space Kinetic is seeking a Teamcenter Administrator to administer, optimize, and support our Siemens Teamcenter product lifecycle management environment. You will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and IT to ensure the systems supporting our product data and engineering processes remain secure, reliable, and scalable. This role combines PLM administration, database management, Windows Server administration, and engineering process improvement. You will support daily Teamcenter operations while helping build a modern PLM environment capable of scaling alongside our engineering and manufacturing teams.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the Siemens Teamcenter PLM environment, including users, permissions, workflows, and access controls.
  • Plan and support Teamcenter upgrades, patches, enhancements, and integrations with NX, SolidWorks, and other CAD applications.
  • Monitor system health, server performance, application availability, databases, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Troubleshoot Teamcenter, CAD integration, database, and infrastructure issues, partnering with Siemens and external vendors as needed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve PLM workflows, processes, and system functionality.
  • Develop scripts and automation to improve administrative efficiency, system reliability, and performance.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system architecture, configurations, and administrative procedures.

What It Takes:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, networking, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A degree is not required for candidates with substantial relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience administering Siemens Teamcenter in a Siemens PLM environment.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and relational databases.
  • Experience supporting CAD or product data management integrations.
  • Strong understanding of PLM workflows, configurations, user administration, and permissions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills, with the ability to document complex systems and procedures.

What We'd Love:
  • Experience with NX or SolidWorks integrations
  • Experience with Teamcenter Active Workspace, BMIDE, Workflow Designer, or FMS
  • Experience integrating Teamcenter with LDAP or Entra ID
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or other scripting and automation tools
  • Experience administering Linux or virtualized environments
  • Experience supporting aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 requirements
Where You’ll Be:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
