MGO is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our growing Business Management practice. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who excels at managing complex client relationships, developing high-performing teams, and delivering strategic tax and financial guidance to high-net-worth individuals, executives, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses.

Our Business Management team provides accounting, financial management, tax coordination, and advisory services, with a strong focus on clients in the Entertainment, Sports, and Media (ESM) industry. As a Tax Senior Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor, overseeing tax compliance, planning, financial reporting, and business management services while partnering closely with clients and their professional advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex tax planning and compliance engagements for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and LLCs.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing proactive guidance on tax, accounting, and financial matters.
  • Oversee engagement quality, project management, staffing, and client deliverables.
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with attorneys, wealth managers, bankers, and other advisors to support client objectives.
  • Develop, mentor, and coach managers and staff, fostering technical excellence and career growth.
  • Drive operational efficiency, utilization, billing, and workflow management across client engagements.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, firm policies, and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive tax and accounting experience, preferably within a Business Management, public accounting, or entertainment-focused environment.
  • Experience serving high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and entertainment industry clients preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance, planning, financial reporting, and accounting operations.
  • Proficiency with AgilLink/Datafaction, QuickBooks Online, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional leadership, client service, communication, and relationship management skills.

Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 plus comprehensive benefits package.
