This role will play a key part in the quarterly and annual tax provision process, partnering closely with accounting, finance, and external advisors. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation in ASC 740, progressive tax experience (ideally with Big 4 or large public accounting firms), and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is scoped as an Individual Contributor position focused on technical/functional ownership rather than personnel management.
What you'll do:
- Lead and manage the quarterly and annual income tax provision process under ASC 740, including preparation and review of workpapers, journal entries, and disclosures
- Analyze and document book-to-tax differences, effective tax rate drivers, and uncertain tax positions (FIN 48)
- Coordinate with external auditors and advisors to support tax provision and financial statement audits
- Support U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and oversee work performed by external providers
- Partner cross-functionally with accounting, FP&A, and legal teams on tax impacts of business activities
- Assist with tax planning initiatives, M&A support, and special projects as needed
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws and accounting standards impacting ASC 740
- Support or collaborate on indirect tax matters (sales/use tax, property tax, VAT, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of relevant tax experience, with a strong focus on income tax provision (ASC 740)
- Public accounting (Big 4 or large national firm) experience preferred, but not required
- CPA, JD/LLM, or Master’s in Taxation preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 (FAS 109) and US corporate income tax
- Exposure to indirect tax (sales/use, property tax, VAT) is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Full-time regular employee offer package:
Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + Equity
Temporary employee offer package:
Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)
Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
