We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Administrator to support our Tax and Legal teams. This role works closely with tax and legal partners who advise closely held businesses and their owners on complex tax, transactional, and estate planning matters.
The position is fast-paced and document-intensive, requiring strong project coordination, deadline management, and a high level of accuracy, particularly during peak tax season. Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Administrator to support our Tax and Legal teams. This role works closely with tax and legal partners who advise closely held businesses and their owners on complex tax, transactional, and estate planning matters.
The position is fast-paced and document-intensive, requiring strong project coordination, deadline management, and a high level of accuracy, particularly during peak tax season. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically capable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and organize tax documents and information from clients
- Prepare engagement agreements and related documentation
- Maintain and manage client files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Support tax return processing, including sorting, scanning, clearing diagnostics, e-filing, and final assembly
- Assist with administrative support across business planning, corporate governance, succession planning, M&A, and real estate matters
- Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of deliverables
- Manage client communications and provide a high level of service and responsiveness
- Support partners and staff with administrative and operational tasks as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a tax, legal, or professional services environment
- Experience supporting CPAs or attorneys strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of tax source documents and administrative workflows
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities, particularly in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data organization, and reporting (macro experience a plus)
- Strong technical aptitude, including exposure to or interest in leveraging AI tools and automation to improve workflows
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), including document formatting and redlining
- Experience with CCH ProSystems Suite or similar tax software is a plus

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in a CPA firm, law firm, or similar professional services environment
- Familiarity with document management systems and workflow tools
