Task Force Sales Manager Position
Must be located in Northern California and available to travel.
Salary Range: $85,000-$95,000 BOE

JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly adaptable Task Force Sales Manager to provide short-term and mid-term sales support across our Northern California hotels, with the flexibility to assist Southern California properties as needed. This role is ideal for a dynamic sales leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can quickly assess market needs, rebuild pipelines, and drive proactive sales efforts during transitions, vacancies, or leaves of absence.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide immediate on-property sales coverage for assigned hotels
  • Drive proactive sales outreach, account management, and new business development
  • Maintain and grow key accounts, local negotiated, and group segments
  • Support properties during staffing gaps, LOAs, onboarding, or unexpected turnover
  • Assess hotel sales performance and implement short-term recovery plans
  • Manage leads, RFPs, and revenue opportunities to ensure continuity
  • Work collaboratively with general managers, DOSs, and regional leadership
  • Travel regularly to assigned hotels within California, including overnight stays
  • Additional tasks assigned by Regional Director of Sales.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Preferably 2+ year of similar experience in Hotel Sales.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-driven.
  • Candidate must live in the Pacific Time Zone and in Northern California.
  • Must possess strategic account management, closing, and negotiating skills.
  • Sales Tracking System (STS, Delphi) proficiency preferred.
  • Experience in Marriott, Hilton and IHG business sales applications strongly preferred.
  • Preferred experience with one or more of the following systems: One Source, Delphi, CVENT, MeetingBroker, MarRFP, OnQ SM, STS, Lanyon.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently. 
  • Education Preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
