The Talent Acquisition team at AlphaSense is a collaborative, high-energy group dedicated to finding and hiring exceptional people who fuel our growth. We partner closely with hiring managers across the business, share knowledge generously, and celebrate wins together. As part of this team, you’ll learn from experienced recruiters, gain exposure to best-in-class processes, and contribute directly to building a strong, inclusive organization.

About the Role:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at AlphaSense, you’ll build the foundation of your recruiting career while helping fuel our growth. You’ll support full-cycle hiring for a range of roles, gaining hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, interview management, and offers. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a passion for creating great experiences for both candidates and hiring managers.

What You'll Do:
  • Own a portfolio of high-volume, repeatable roles, delivering full-cycle recruiting end-to-end, with scope and complexity increasing as experience develops.
  • Screen candidates, manage interview processes and handle offer negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate data in the ATS.
  • Partner closely with recruiting coordinators to ensure smooth scheduling and interview logistics.
  • Learn and apply best practices in sourcing, interviewing, full-cycle recruiting, and building strong partnerships with hiring managers.
  • Partner in intake meetings with guidance, capturing role requirements and influencing recruiting processes, and progressively leading intakes independently as experience grows.
  • Learn and apply inclusive hiring practices through sourcing, screening and candidate communication.

Who You Are:

  • 1-2+ years of full cycle recruitment experience with a strong interest in further building a career in Talent Acquisition.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Coachable and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and improve through feedback.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude, contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Proactive and resourceful, with a willingness to jump in, take initiative, and get things done.
  • Committed to providing an excellent, inclusive candidate experience at every stage of the process.

What Defines Success

  • You deliver high-quality support on full desk support for high volume, repeatable roles.
  • You learn quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and apply feedback to improve your recruiting skills.
  • Your hiring managers, candidates, and teammates feel supported and informed throughout each stage of the process, with clear communication and timely follow-up.
  • Over time, you demonstrate growing independence by managing day-to-day recruiting activities and intake processes with limited guidance, showing readiness to take on greater ownership.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.

You may also be offered equity, and a generous benefits program.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
