Job Summary

Support the recruiting function by performing daily tasks that ensure a positive, efficient experience for prospective candidates across all Traffic Management LLC locations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist with all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Recruitment & Sourcing

  • Create and publish job postings internally and externally
  • Source and screen candidates using various recruitment channels
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings
  • Create and manage requisitions and job postings for both internal and external candidates

Candidate Screening & Evaluation

  • Review and screen resumes, ensuring candidates meet minimum qualifications with strong attention to detail
  • Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews using established tools and effective interviewing techniques
  • Conduct background checks, including driver’s license verification and motor vehicle record (MVR) reviews
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and initiative throughout the recruitment process

Interview Coordination & Scheduling

  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with qualified candidates
  • Manage interview schedules based on business needs, coordinating 15–17 candidates daily
  • Coordinate calendar invites for interviews, job fairs, and hiring events

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and team members to confirm position requirements and hiring needs
  • Communicate with departments regarding anticipated start dates, compensation, position status, and orientation scheduling
  • Follow up with candidates and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication and process efficiency

Administrative & Reporting

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department
  • Maintain accurate records of candidate activity in spreadsheets and the ATSSA system
  • Maintain recruiting trackers, ensuring locations, addresses, and points of contact are up to date
  • Prepare recruitment materials, including job descriptions, screening tools, and interview questions

Candidate Experience & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, employees, and clients
  • Ensure confidentiality of candidate and employee information at all times
  • Support a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the hiring process

Events, Travel & Additional Support

  • Travel up to 5% for job fairs and recruiting events
  • Coordinate and support hiring events and job fairs
  • Provide additional support for onboarding processes and front desk operations as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes and applicable employment laws
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to think critically, demonstrate flexibility, and exercise sound judgment

Equipment Operated

  • Standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse, copier, fax, etc.)
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands for handling, controlling, or lifting objects
  • Repetitive movements may be required
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions in a safe and alert manner

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required
  • At least 2 years of recruitment experience strongly preferred
