About Inspira Education

Inspira Education Group is one of the fastest-growing edtech startups in the US. We started with a simple mission to democratize access to high-quality coaching so that every student in the world has an equal opportunity to access the best opportunities.

As the world’s leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, we’re building software and services in one place—disrupting long-entrenched application processes with products and experiences that strive to provide an equal platform for candidates from diverse backgrounds worldwide.

As one of the fastest-growing edtech firms in the world, we are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms and investors in the world, including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures and Jeff Fluhr (Founder of Stubhub).

The Role

Most companies treat sourcing as a support function: post a job, run some Boolean strings, wait. We're building something different - a sourcing engine that operates like a high-performing sales team, where every search is a targeting problem and every hire teaches us something we systematize for the next one.

The candidates who move the needle for us aren't applying - they're not checking job boards. Finding them takes real search craft. This role is for someone who's already spent years getting good at exactly that, and is ready to own it end-to-end: partnering with hiring managers, running the hardest searches yourself, and building the playbooks that let the function scale beyond you.

This role requires in-office attendance 5 days a week (NYC - Gramercy).

 What You'll Do
  • Design and run advanced Boolean/X-ray searches across LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms to fill hard, niche, or senior roles
  • Build sharp Ideal Candidate Profiles with hiring managers, going beyond the job description
  • Own sourcing pipelines across multiple concurrent roles without letting quality slip
  • Run high-volume, personalized outreach and sharpen messaging based on response data
  • Screen candidates before handoff to the hiring team
  • Document playbooks/SOPs
  • Track sourcing metrics (response rates, conversion, time-to-fill) and act on them
  • Flag when a search strategy isn't working and rebuild it, rather than just running more volume
 What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of recruiting and sourcing experience with deep Boolean/LinkedIn Recruiter expertise
  • Track record filling hard or senior roles through proactive sourcing, not just managing inbound
  • Sourcing experience across multiple functions, not just one specialty
  • Excellent written communication - outreach that gets responses from people who weren't looking
  • Systems thinking - you document as you go and build toward repeatable process
  • Comfort owning multiple concurrent searches with real autonomy
 Why you'll love Inspira
  • Amazing people with a great vision and values
  • Mission-driven team culture focused on student success
  • Your work directly impacts the lives and careers of students across the globe
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, base plans 100% employer paid
  • Pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, Commuter)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match

The targeted pay for this role is: $110-120k. Actual salary is dependent upon several factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team and geographic location. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at the offer. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
