Who We Are

Popl is defining a new category we call In-Person Go-To-Market.

We help revenue teams turn real-world interactions — trade shows, conferences, field events, and meetings — into measurable pipeline and revenue. Our AI-native platform powers event lead capture, enrichment, and real-time CRM sync, transforming every badge scan into a high-quality, actionable lead.

In a world where digital channels are saturated, we're building the infrastructure that makes in-person GTM measurable, scalable, and revenue-driving. Our mission is simple: help companies around the world turn in-person events into a measurable & scalable growth channel.

About the Role

As our first Talent Acquisition Recruiter, you will own the full lifecycle recruitment process, helping us attract, engage, and hire top-tier talent across engineering, product, sales, customer success and operations. You’ll be instrumental in defining our employer brand, building scalable recruiting processes, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting from role intake through offer, start date, and onboarding coordination

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to conduct new role intakes, align on requirements, and advise on hiring strategy

  • Manage and optimize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate data, efficient workflows, and strong reporting

  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, from application to start date, including all interview scheduling and communication

  • Partner with external recruiters and hiring partners as needed, overseeing intake, execution, and performance

  • Develop and continuously improve candidate assessment strategies, including interview frameworks, take-home assignments, and exercises that better evaluate skills and role fit

  • Elevate the overall candidate experience by creating clear, thoughtful, and engaging processes and touchpoints

  • Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs

  • Establish and document recruiting processes, best practices, and metrics to support scale

  • Track recruiting analytics and share insights to improve hiring efficiency and quality

  • Represent Popl’s culture, values, and employer brand to candidates and the broader talent community

What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in tech startups or high-growth environments.

  • Experience managing full-cycle recruitment independently.

  • Strong sourcing skills using platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, AngelList, or similar.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and build processes from scratch.

  • Passion for creating a positive candidate experience and employer brand.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience hiring across engineering, product, and operations roles.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or experience implementing one.

  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring practices.

Why join us?
  • Be part of a rocket-ship startup redefining how professionals connect and grow.

  • Work closely with experienced leaders and cross-functional teams to shape our financial strategy.

  • Make a measurable impact in a role critical to our long-term success.

  • Fully remote

  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful equity

  • Full insurance & benefits

  • Unlimited PTO

  • $150 monthly wellness credit

  • Constant daily learning

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
