About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Salesforce is looking for a rare kind of marketing leader to run and transform our Global SMB Marketing business.

This is not a traditional marketing role. This is a business leadership role.

We need a builder/operator obsessed with growth. A leader who believes marketing should own outcomes, not activities. Someone who sees themselves as accountable for revenue, customer growth, market expansion, and business performance end-to-end. Someone who can operate at the intersection of product, sales, and AI agent automation.

SMB is one of the most strategically important growth vectors for Salesforce. It is where future enterprise customers are born. It is where product adoption scales globally. It is where AI-driven growth models, digital customer journeys, and modern GTM systems are being reinvented in real time and path the way for the broader Salesforce transformation.

This leader will own the global SMB marketing business across Salesforce’s portfolio, leading the strategy and operating GTM that drives customer acquisition, adoption, lifecycle engagement, and revenue growth at scale.

You will lead a modern, AI-powered growth organization spanning demand generation, digital acquisition, lifecycle and retention marketing, integrated campaigns, content, web, SEO, events, and growth experimentation. You will partner deeply with Product & Engineering, Sales, Data Science, and Customer Success to help shape not just how we market our products – but how customers experience and adopt Salesforce from day one.

The right leader for this role is deeply customer obsessed, highly analytical, operationally rigorous, and relentlessly accountable. You inspire change and build trust by delivering results. You move fast. You care about the details. You understand systems thinking. You know how to scale organizations without losing quality or velocity. And you believe AI and agentic technologies are fundamentally reshaping how businesses grow.

Most importantly, you believe marketing is a growth engine for the business – not a service organization sitting adjacent to it.

What You’ll Own:

  • Define and lead the global SMB growth strategy across Salesforce’s product portfolio

  • Own the business outcomes for SMB acquisition, pipeline generation, conversion efficiency, retention, and expansion

  • Build and operate a modern global SMB growth engine spanning paid, owned, lifecycle, web, SEO, social, content, partner, and event channels

  • Drive full-funnel performance with rigorous accountability around CAC, LTV, pipeline efficiency, conversion, and ROI

  • Partner deeply with Product & Engineering to shape customer journeys, onboarding experiences, activation models, and product-led growth motions

  • Build strong operational trust and alignment with Sales leadership around pipeline quality, velocity, and revenue performance

  • Lead integrated global campaigns and growth programs designed to scale customer demand and brand relevance in the SMB segment

  • Create a high-velocity experimentation culture using AI and agents, automation, data science, and agentic systems to continuously optimize growth

  • Build a world-class operating cadence grounded in data, accountability, execution excellence, and speed

  • Lead and scale a high-performing global team across multiple functions and geographies

  • Help define the future of AI-powered SMB growth at Salesforce

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven business leader with deep ownership mentality and accountability for measurable growth outcomes

  • Experience leading large-scale SMB, growth, PLG, or high-volume digital businesses in global B2B environments

  • Strong operator with exceptional judgment, prioritization, and execution rigor

  • Ability to build credibility and trusted partnerships with Product & Engineering and Sales organizations

  • Deep expertise across modern growth disciplines including demand generation, performance marketing, lifecycle, web, SEO/SEM, experimentation, and integrated campaigns

  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition economics, funnel optimization, and scalable growth systems

  • Experience building data-driven operating models with strong KPI management and ROI accountability

  • Track record of building and scaling high-performing organizations through periods of transformation and growth

  • Strong point of view on how AI and agentic technologies will reshape marketing, customer journeys, and go-to-market models

  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, highly cross-functional environments with significant complexity and ambiguity

  • Executive presence with the ability to influence across functions and levels

Why This Role Matters:

The next generation of market leaders will win by building smarter, faster, AI-powered growth systems that create durable customer relationships at scale.

SMB sits at the center of that transformation.

This is an opportunity to help redefine how one of the world’s most important software companies acquires, grows, and serves millions of businesses globally – while helping shape the future operating model for growth in the AI era.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
