Supply Chain Planner

Position Overview 

This position will play a critical role with suppliers and manage the scheduling, procurement, and inventory planning for all packaging, production, and marketing material. This role will support both new product launches and the replenishment of existing products to ensure an uninterrupted supply chain. This role will report to the Purchasing & Inventory Manager. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is highly organized, solution oriented, and able to pivot quickly as priorities evolve. You are a team player, eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated by contributing to the broader organization’s success. Experience with ERP systems, especially NetSuite, is highly preferred This is a hybrid position where you will work on-site in Danville Tuesdays -Thursdays and remotely Mondays and Fridays. Please also note that we are unable to support Visa's at this time.

 

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Manage the purchasing process, ensuring timely procurement of materials and packaging for production and marketing
  • Support execution of sourcing and purchasing pipeline for business continuity
  • Create and manage Bills of Material (BOMs) both internally and externally
  • Verify and challenge costs from new and existing contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Monitor and communicate supply chain risks internally and externally and proactively develop solutions in collaboration with the Purchasing and Inventory Manager
  • Maintain productive manufacturer, supplier and cross-functional relationships with a focus on fostering growth and continuous improvement
  • Assist with development and maintenance of supplier performance scorecards
  • Use supply plans and inventory reports, both internal and external (supplier provided), to ensure purchase plans align with targeted inventory levels
  • Develop efficient and effective purchase order tracking process to ensure plans 
    and cross-functional partners are updated with any known changes to delivery timing
  • Support month-end close activities and complete monthly inventory reconciliations
  • Collaborate within the Supply Chain Team and Finance Team during the purchase order/inventory life cycle and coordinate any inventory adjustments
  • Collaborate with Distribution Analyst on purchasing collateral, inventory movement and various other tasks
  • Take on additional tasks and projects as business needs evolve, supporting a collaborative and growing team environment


Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 4+ years of experience in a supply chain, procurement, or inventory planning role, preferable within a production environment
  • Strong knowledge of co-manufacturing and packaging purchasing
  • Experience in beauty, cosmetics, skincare, or personal care industries is a plus
  • NetSuite or similar ERP system experience is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Tech-savvy and quick to adapt to new programs and processes
  • Proactive and critical thinker with high attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUPS, data analysis)
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and maintain a solution-oriented mindset

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
  • Comfortable lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and materials
  • Comfortable using a computer, keyboard, and mouse

Salary: $70k - $85K per year plus yearly bonus and full benefits
