Message from the Hiring Manager:

Caldera Medical is rapidly expanding and growing. This key role plans the manufacture and inventory of finished devices across our global manufacturing and distribution network and maintains the appropriate levels of finished goods for our global customers to meet customer service objectives. It also has responsibility for scheduling the Westlake Village site. The position collaborates with Sales leadership and Marketing leadership to define demand plan, sites’ purchasing, manufacturing, and distribution teams for materials planning and supply plans., and provides leadership for S&OP.

This position provides the opportunity to own and improve production planning, demand planning and inventory planning processes, tools, and systems. It helps to drive end to end thinking and agility across the supply chain with the end customer in mind and lowering costs.

A successful candidate should have strong technical and process capabilities along with the ability to influence cross functionally and cross regionally. This individual will possess the ability to lead projects, give work direction and execute manufacturing/materials strategy and tactics.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic input and direction on manufacturing priorities to your stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and problem solve material shortages impacting the build plans.
  • Recommend inputs to inventory targets and maintain in the system, applying understanding of business drivers and inventory management techniques.
  • Manages inventory to plan, identifies and leads opportunities for improvement and in short/over supply situations provides inventory recovery/burn-down plan as required.
  • Manage Forecast Inputs / Improve Forecast Accuracy: Works directly with marketing, sales operations, and distributors to set the forecast into SIOP.
  • Work closely with R&D to plan and manage product lifecycle events effectively (launches, transitions, and End of Life) to meet market position expectations and cost objectives.
  • Owns WIP and subassembly inventory for areas of management.
  • Manage master data elements so they are complete. Knowledgeable on master data fields managed in other functions that affect the supply chain to ensure system-wide integrity.
  • Performs S&OP modeling, What-if scenarios and provides Supply Chain Manager with decisions for the Executive S&OP.
  • Manage KPI performance incl. Inventory, forecast accuracy, Service Level, Backorder, E&O, Labor productivity & Scrap. Perform root cause analysis with key stakeholders and drive corrective actions.
  • Actively lead and participate in continuous improvement projects.


Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling software systems (Oracle SCP ideal)
  • Experience in planning vertically integrated manufacturing
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Competency in Power BI.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement and/or project management.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7 years of professional experience in a manufacturing planning, inventory control, demand planning or supply chain function with at least 2 years end-to-end global supply chain planning experience.
  • Excellent customer focus
  • Knowledge and experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process.
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP software systems (Oracle preferred) and knowledge of MRP.
