The Supply Chain & Operations Talent Acceleration Program (TAP) offers best in class leaders the opportunity to gain depth and knowledge in many aspects of Supply Chain & Operations functions. Gain invaluable experience by participating in our 24-month program that includes two 12-month development assignments in different Supply Chain field and corporate functions.  

Participants will be exposed to diverse experiences across Land O’Lakes divisions such as: Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Ingredient Merchandising & Sourcing, Logistics, and Continuous Improvement. Assignments are designed to be challenging, complex, strategic and fast paced. With the sponsorship of Supply Chain Executives, TAP associates navigate through a series of challenging, diverse, and high-visibility assignments that span the entire Supply Chain.  

You will have the opportunity to develop skills through a core curriculum of formal training, work assignments, strategic projects, career development and networking opportunities and involvement in community service. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible for key roles within Supply Chain & Operations based on business needs, career interests, and aptitude. CORE PROGRAM FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEWS:  

MANUFACTURING: At the hub of Supply Chain & Operations organization, the Manufacturing team at Land O’Lakes is the critical link to safely producing the highest quality dairy food products for consumers, crop protection and crop input products, and lifestyle and livestock feed for animals. This team has tremendous influence over all of the levers that impact the company’s bottom line including employee safety, product quality and safety, labor productivity, line efficiency, and material yield. Manufacturing operates 85 facilities nationwide. 

LOGISTICS: Driven by customer demands, the Land O’Lakes Logistics team creates value by effectively managing the transformation of raw materials into safe, quality, finished products, and by coordinating complex planning and distribution to ensure that products are delivered when and where the customer desires. Logistics does this by leveraging state-of-the-art capabilities in our integrated Planning, Analytics, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Shipping functions. Logistics also operates a large fleet of trucks and over 100 warehouses and distribution centers.

ENGINEERING: Engineering provides essential capabilities for ongoing sustainability and growth of our key Land O’ Lakes businesses. The Engineering team manages over $200 million per year in capital projects that support new business commercialization and manufacturing improvements in areas of plant infrastructure, quality, safety, efficiency and sustainability. The team strives to provide industry-leading technical services that support business objectives, while driving reliable operational effectiveness and cost competitiveness in addition to highest quality, safety and environmental compliance.  

SOURCING & INGREDIENT MERCHANDISING: Overseeing $11 billion in annual transactions, the Ingredient Merchandising & Sourcing team works with thousands of suppliers worldwide. Ingredient Merchandising & Sourcing purchases every product, service or ingredient needed to bring the company’s diverse portfolio of agriculture, feed and dairy foods products to market — ranging from stainless steel to soybean meal. The team also buys and sells ingredients and raw milk in order to balance the company’s needs and generate revenue. Land O’Lakes businesses rely on the Sourcing & Ingredient Merchandising teams to be the experts in the global markets for raw materials. Using this information, Land O’Lakes Sourcing provides risk management solution with futures and options strategies to mitigate margin volatility for our businesses.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Operations, Business/Ag Business, Economics, Food Science, Engineering, Agriculture, or an accredited undergraduate program

  • December 2026 or May 2027 graduate and recent graduate with less than 2 years of experience  

  • Demonstrated leadership in school/academic/industry related clubs 

  • Successfully completed the Land O'Lakes internship program 

  • Willingness to relocate and travel 

Salary for this position is $70,000
