About the Role:Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain Data Analytics experience in the world of biotechnology. Our intern program offers exposure to Supply Chain, Data Analytics, and Business Operations. The Supply Chain Data Analytics team has a strong reputation in the industry for converting raw data into tools and reports for departments such as our Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and other teams to leverage to make business decisions backed by data.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Support a range of activities, including Report creating, dataset restructure and data clean up
  • Assists the Data Analytics team to improve existing reports
  • Assist with updating back-end datasets to improve refreshes and dataset load times
  • Assist with improving data pipelines into concise dataflows
  • Actively participate in cross-functional team initiatives, collaborating with various departments such as Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and IT
  • Collaborate with a team of cross-functional team mentors as well as the other interns in the class
  • Complete a special project and present the recommendations to senior management
Requirements:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in supply chain management, operations management, computer science or data science and must have completed a minimum of two years
  • Specific degree or field required: Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of databases, Power BI, SQL/python is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry would be an asset but is not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with visualization software (example: PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes is desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and be a team player
  • Offer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Interest in attending various program events, including social gatherings, career development workshops, and more
  • Ability to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program
