Job Summary:

AEG Internship Program offers a real-world experience that allows college students to learn the business of sports and live entertainment. The Marketing Intern will provide direct support to the Marketing and Digital team. This role will also focus on auditing and analyzing digital platforms across all 32 NHL teams to identify best practices and opportunities. This role is best suited for an individual interested in a career in sports marketing where they will learn the foundational knowledge, skills, networking, and support necessary to pursue a full-time entry-level position.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of digital platforms across all 32 NHL teams, including:
    • Review team websites to evaluate layout, ease of navigation, and ticket promotions
    • Review mobile apps to assess user experience, features, and overall fan engagement
    • Review marketing emails (newsletters, ticket offers, promotions) to evaluate design, messaging, and effectiveness
  • Compile findings into organized reports and presentations with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Support marketing team with competitor research and analysis across digital marketing campaigns, event engagement, ticketing strategy, and sponsor activations.
  • Engage and brainstorm with the marketing team on game day planning for the 2026-27 season (giveaway items, theme nights, fan activations, merchandise partnerships, etc.)
  • Assist with the execution of digital marketing initiatives, including website, app, and email updates as needed
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • The AEG Internship Program requires a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week during the summer. 

Qualifications:

  • Passion for sports and live entertainment
  • Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools (AirTable, Monday.com) preferred
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Desire to learn more about the sports and entertainment industry

Location:

Pay Scale: $19.00 - $21.00

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
