The Role
#paid is looking for a driven, creative, and performance-oriented leader to join our team as a Strategy Team Manager for a parental leave 18-month contract. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the development of strategic proposals and industry-shaping thought leadership that positions #paid at the forefront of creator marketing. Reporting into the VP of Strategy, you'll contribute as a manager of a high-performing team of Strategists—leading proposal and project work while championing creativity, innovation, and data-informed thinking.
You’ll foster a culture of excellence by mentoring your team and aligning processes to broader business goals, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Paid Media, and Client Success. In addition to proposal leadership, you’ll work with social platforms and emerging technologies to unlock new revenue opportunities, while driving #paid’s thought leadership efforts by crafting forward-thinking narratives and strategic frameworks that move both our clients—and the industry—forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Leadership
- Manage assignments and workload across the Strategy team
- Oversee the development of creative, compelling, data-driven proposals that meet client and business objectives
- Collaborate with Sales, Paid Media, and other teams to ensure proposals are cohesive and scalable
- Contribute to high-impact proposals for priority RFPs or key accounts when elevated support is needed
- Team Management & Process Optimization
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Strategists through 1:1s and performance reviews
- Foster skill growth across storytelling, creative strategy, and product knowledge
- Champion a sales-first mindset across the Strategy team, helping the team align to bookings goals and metrics
- Review performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
- Implement scalable tools and processes to increase efficiency and quality
- Standardize workflows, documentation, and proposal development practices
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Identify and support speaking opportunities at industry events and panels
- Develop thought leadership narratives and frameworks alongside the VP of Strategy
- Create and nurture a culture of creativity and inspiration within the larger Strategy team
- Stay informed on industry trends, consumer behavior, and platform changes
- Leverage data and insights to guide strategic decisions that drive client growth and value
To be successful, you'll need to
- Balance team management with individual contributions to key proposals and projects
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders
- Gather and analyze data in Salesforce or Google Sheets, identifying key metrics and delivering clear, actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Coach Strategists to produce high-quality, on-brand, and on-brief proposals
- Maintain high standards under tight timelines and shifting priorities
- Bring creative energy and structured thinking to new business opportunities
- Contribute to a culture of curiosity, performance, and growth
