About the Team

At GOAT Group, the Business Development team is central to the strategic growth of our company. Composed of individual teams that handle Strategy, New Business Initiatives, Partnerships, and Account Management, the department leads a global supply-focused initiative that works with brand partners, retailers, and power sellers to secure new inventory and widen exposure for GOAT Group. As our company continues to expand both at home and abroad, you will play an integral part in this exciting next chapter. 

We are looking for a motivated Strategy & Planning Analyst to join our Business Development team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills, comfortable working with complex data sets, and skilled at transforming data into clear, actionable insights. This hybrid role combines supporting the 

Business Development team through strategic analysis, market intelligence, and reporting, with additional ownership of the owned inventory process and planning. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving strategic growth through data-informed decision-making. 

In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and maintain SQL-based dashboards that support the Business Development team
  • Perform exploratory / “ad-hoc” data analysis to support various global strategic initiatives
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform supply strategy
  • Support planning and actioning on owned inventory (forecasting, recommending distribution/allocation, monitoring performance, implementing pricing strategies)
  • Monitor the health of our business across key KPIs, and partner with stakeholders to take action
  • Continuously improve how performance is tracked and communicated, identifying new metrics, visualizations, and methods to surface business trends 

We are looking for: 

  • 2+ years of work experience in a challenging analytical role
  • Highly proficient in SQL and Excel
  • Experience using BI tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Excellent attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to connect data insights to business strategy and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
  • Experience in inventory planning and comprehension of retail math/e-commerce metrics

The hiring range for this position is below, plus benefits (401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, life insurance options). To determine starting pay within the hiring range, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, role/level, a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. $67,200$84,000 USD
