We are hiring two exceptional MBA students to join our Strategy team for the summer of 2027. The ideal candidate will be in the process of completing an MBA from a top-tier business school and have at least three years of relevant work experience in delivering significant strategic and operational impact across an organization. The person in this role will work across the business and contribute to both product and market growth.

This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to help pioneer the next frontier in sports and contribute to the continued rapid scaling of one of the world’s fastest-growing sports tech companies.

This internship is open to candidates based remotely in the U.S. or in-person out of our Durham office.

The Role
  • Drive growth for our current (and future) markets and products, conduct internal/external research and provide rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations on where we should focus our investments to fuel growth

  • Provide project leadership through strong day-to-day operational execution, helping evolve early-stage ideas into future-growth initiatives

  • Develop solutions to complex, ambiguous, and high-visibility business problems and opportunities

  • Deliver high-quality output by working independently and partnering closely with stakeholders across products, markets, and functional groups

  • Develop business cases and build market models to evaluate new business opportunities, pricing strategies, and product expansion initiatives

  • Analyze pricing, packaging, and retention data to recommend how we price, bundle, and expand products across customer segments

What I'm Looking ForWhat You Must Bring
  • In the process of completing an MBA from a top-tier business school

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in roles delivering significant strategic impact across an organization (e.g. experience at a top-tier consulting firm focused on strategy and implementation; a role on a corporate strategy or business operations team at a technology company; experience building financial models and delivering insights at an investment bank)

  • Proficient with Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint / Google Slides, and building compelling presentations

Even Better If
  • You have experience in sports or high-growth B2B SaaS

  • Proven experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams, including when colleagues are not direct reports

  • You have hands-on experience with SQL, BI platforms, scripting, or LLM-based workflows, and good judgment on when to verify outputs

Why This Role

Few internships put you in front of senior leaders on decisions that shape a fast-growing company. You’ll work in sports tech, where our products help teams recruit, train, and compete, and where what you build can still be in use long after August. If it goes well, we’d love to talk about a full-time role after graduation.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
