The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports the end-to-end sourcing and category management process for Enterprise Purchased Services and other indirect procurement categories within a healthcare organization. The Analyst  provides analytical, project coordination, supplier contracting, and support across competitive sourcing initiatives. Working under the guidance of sourcing and category leaders, the Analyst gathers requirements, develops spend and market analysis, supports competitive sourcing events, assists with business case development, tracks savings and supplier performance, and helps maintain procurement documentation and reporting. This position is designed as an entry-level opportunity for a candidate seeking to build a career in healthcare or technology procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain.

Responsibilities

•    Support sourcing projects from initial intake through supplier selection, contracting, implementation, and savings validation.
•    Collect, cleanse, organize, and analyze spend, pricing, utilization, contract, supplier, and operational data using Excel and other procurement tools.
•    Assist with development and execution of Requests for Information, Requests for Proposal, Requests for Quotation, and related competitive sourcing events.
•    Prepare bid comparison models, supplier scorecards, pricing analyses, savings projections, presentations, and recommendation summaries for stakeholder review.
•    Coordinate meetings, project timelines, action items, supplier communications, stakeholder inputs, and required approvals.
•    Partner with clinical, operational, finance, legal, compliance, information technology, human resources, facilities, and other business stakeholders as applicable to the category.
•    Support negotiation preparation by researching suppliers and markets, identifying cost drivers, documenting commercial terms, and modeling negotiation scenarios.
•    Assist with contract workflow and administration, including document collection, term summaries, renewal tracking, and coordination with legal and business owners.
•    Maintain sourcing project records, category files, supplier documentation, and procurement systems in accordance with organizational policies and controls.
•    Track and report cost savings, cost avoidance, project status, contract milestones, supplier performance, and other procurement metrics.
•    Support supplier relationship management activities, including business review preparation, performance analysis, issue tracking, and follow-up actions.
•    Perform market research and benchmarking to support category strategies and sourcing recommendations.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement processes, reporting, templates, and stakeholder experience.

Qualifications

Required:

•    Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain management, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
•    Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to organize data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn procurement, contract management, analytics, and enterprise resource planning systems.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise business summaries and presentations.
•    Effective organization, attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
•    Collaborative approach and ability to work professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
•    Problem-solving mindset, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn sourcing, contracting, negotiation, and category management practices.
•    Ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with appropriate judgment.

Preferred:
•    Internship, co-op, project, or up to two years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, consulting, analytics, healthcare operations, or a related field.
•    Exposure to healthcare, hospital, or health system operations.
•    Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, supplier research, competitive bidding, or project management.
•    Familiarity with contracts, purchasing processes, supplier management, or indirect spend categories.
