OUR MISSION
We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.
Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.
As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.
Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
We're hiring a Strategic Initiatives Lead to own and drive high-stakes, ambiguous programs at the intersection of AI and new business development. - Exercise rigorous prioritization: define clear success criteria up front, invest behind the highest-leverage opportunities, and decisively sunset initiatives that don’t meet the bar
- Interface with customers, partners, and other stakeholders to share our vision, gather feedback, and establish and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships
- Establish, refine and simplify product requirements and business cases for new initiatives
- Develop internal strategy materials and external-facing pitch decks, positioning and go to market assets

- Represent Thyme credibly to senior external stakeholders (members, payers, providers, partners)
- Build durable playbooks to scale and harden programs
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- 5+ years of experience in strategy, operations, or business building roles within healthcare or healthcare-adjacent environments
- Strong track record of building from scratch; owning large-scale initiatives from early concept through launch, iteration, and scale
- Experience operating in tech-forward or AI-enabled environments, with demonstrated ability to engage deeply with technical teams and understand system capabilities, trade-offs, and constraints
- Experience evaluating, partnering with, or operationalizing emerging technologies (e.g., AI vendors, platform tooling, data infrastructure)
- Structured problem solving in complex, high-stakes environments
- Experience operating effectively in ambiguous, fast-evolving contexts where direction and constraints are not fully defined
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor narratives for executive, clinical, and external audiences
- Experience leading large programs in highly cross-functional environments
Nice to haves:
- Healthcare experience (payer, provider, or value-based care)
- Data-oriented mindset; ability to understand and work with healthcare data
- Experience in consulting, investing, or corporate strategy setting
