About us:

SentiLink provides innovative identity and risk solutions, empowering institutions and individuals to transact confidently with one another.

By building the future of identity verification in the United States and reinventing the currently clunky, ineffective, and expensive process, we believe strongly that the future will be 10x better.

We’ve had tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Already our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, beginning with financial services. In 2021, we raised a $70M Series B round, led by Craft Ventures to rapidly scale our best in class products. We’ve earned coverage and awards from TechCrunch, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, Business Insider, PYMNTS, American Banker, LendIt, and have been named to the Forbes Fintech 50 list consecutively since 2023. Last but not least, we’ve even been a part of history -- we were the first company to go live with the eCBSV and testified before the United States House of Representatives.

About the Opportunity:

As the Strategic Finance Lead, you will report to our VP of Finance and be responsible for providing strategic and tactical financial planning and analytical support across the entire business. The right candidate will be intensely curious with a bias towards action, and proactive about generating insights into our business as well as supporting and learning about other aspects of the finance function. You should be very comfortable running and maintaining analysis/reporting in Excel and/or Google Sheets on an ongoing basis, with the possibility to scale this into more robust reporting systems over the long run.

This is a remote position with monthly travel to our LA office (Encino) and company or team offsites.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with the executive team to align business objectives with financial targets. Monitor actual performance against budgets, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.

  • Develop financial models for scenario planning related to investment and resource allocation options, providing recommendations based on the analysis.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial rigor and analytical leadership to ensure thoughtful decision making.

  • Implement procedures and tools to streamline reporting and analysis, ensuring the scalability of financial operations as the company grows.

  • Lead efforts to build a data-driven culture by providing real-time insights and actionable intelligence across the business, leveraging financial, operational, and market data.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 2 years at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.

  • 2+ years of investment banking or management consulting experience is strongly preferred.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and scenario planning.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States

  • $170,000/year - $240,000/year + equity + benefits

Perks:
  • Employer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents

  • 401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
