About this role

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an initiative-taking, self-directed, and results-oriented Strategic Account Manager in our Retail team, focusing on business development and sales in the Retail market. You will be responsible for growing commercial equipment, controls, and service sales in your assigned territory. The ideal candidate will be located near a major airport to efficiently serve their customers.

 

The Strategic Account Manager role involves

  • Conduct market analysis and identify key customer targets.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in assigned territory.

  • Develop and maintain owner relationships with retail partners that operate in more than one State or major market in the case of Canada and Mexico. Influence design standards and projects for direct and indirect sales opportunities.

  • Use procurement contracts and other sales tools to increase equipment, service, and controls sales.

  • Oversee Retail sales activities and resources within sales channels.

  • Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that improve Carrier’s overall competitive position.

  • Track project activity keeping internal team members and external customers informed.

  • Update Salesforce with customer contact information and unique requirements including but not limited to, product configurations, and prototypes where applicable.

  • Provide technical and product training to key customers.

  • Communicate and cooperate across business functions.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.

  • 3+ years of sales experience.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing.

  • Public sector sales experience.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both external customers and across functional teams

  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.

  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize.

  • Strategic planning and negotiating skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
