Roles and Responsibilities:

Genba Management:

  • Lead iteration and maintenance of Genba artifacts, including workflows, maps, processes, forms, and training materials.

  • Maintain the digital Genba backlog space by reviewing intake requests, clarifying entries, and managing statuses/notes.

  • Coordinate with sister workstreams to request and consolidate supporting Genba data for SME consulting.

  • Assist with Genba SharePoint management, including creating new pages, maintaining existing ones, and posting updates.

  • Support internal and external Genba kickoff/prep sessions, including hosting pre-Genba training and scheduling meetings.

  • Manage logistics for Genba meetings, including booking conference rooms, arranging lunch delivery, and guest access to sites.

  • Send updates to the core Genba team and participants, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

  • Review and manage the Genba retrospective space to drive continuous improvement.

  • Support prioritization efforts to determine whether initiatives require Genba or at-point problem-solving.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Genba Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis (PSR):

  • Act as the point person for Employee Experience (EX) initiatives to determine if Genba is needed for PSR activities.

  • Provide Voice of Customer (VOC) and Genba quantitative and qualitative data to support PSR initiatives.

Voice of Customer (VOC):

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and presentation of quantitative VOC data (e.g., Pareto analysis).

  • Develop and maintain VOC SOPs to ensure consistency and accuracy in data collection and synthesis.

  • Potential opportunity to provide VOC leadership to Digital Employee Experience tools solutions.

Communications:

  • Connect needs across Employee Experience initiatives (e.g., Genba, VOC) to communication requirements and enhanced capabilities.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication strategies are in place for all related initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of creating and maintaining SOPs
  • Working knowledge of AI prompting techniques leveraging structured and unstructured datasets
  • Strong knowledge using digital collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Smartsheet)
  • Knowledge building and maintaining SharePoint sites
  • Knowledge with data tools (e.g. PowerBI, Excel, Smartsheet, Spotfire)

Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the competitive environment

  • Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.
  • Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making.
