What You’ll Do

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer with exceptional coding expertise in Node.js and React, along with experience in cloud technologies and services (Azure is a plus) and large language models (LLMs), including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and fine-tuning, to join our innovative team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your coding skills to design and develop advanced internal solutions that enhance our ability to serve clients effectively. You will collaborate with a talented team on impactful projects involving LLMs and cloud-based architecture in Azure, utilizing modern tech stacks like Node.js and React. Your coding expertise will be instrumental in mentoring the team and contributing to architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced internal software solutions using Node.js and React to enhance our service delivery capabilities. 
  • Be hands-on in both coding and leading architectural discussions and decisions, using React and Node.js to ensure that software solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and seamlessly integrated across frontend and backend development. 
  • Develop and document architectural designs. 
  • Utilize your expertise in web technologies (React, Node, TypeScript, etc.) and proven track record of developing end-to-end products on the Azure platform. 
  • Integrate and fine-tune large language models (LLMs), including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to support innovative project initiatives. 
  • Conduct thorough testing and maintenance of existing software to ensure reliability, performance, and alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and project goals. 

You Bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering.  
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related field.  
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and project management capabilities. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality. 
  • Cloud Architectures: Deep understanding of cloud platforms. Knowledge in Microsoft Azure is a plus.  
  • Technology Assessment: Ability to evaluate and select appropriate technologies to meet business objectives.  
  • Data Modeling: Knowledge of data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and big data solutions. 
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Postgres and database design.  
  • Front-End Development: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and React. 
  • Back-End Development: Understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. Should be well versed in Node.
  • Source Control: Knowledge of Git or other version control systems.  
  • DevOps: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and other Azure services is beneficial.  
  • Cloud: Experience with cloud technologies and services. Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions is a plus.

Compensation

Certain US jurisdictions require ghSMART to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. We are built on a culture of freedom and flexibility, we operate fully remotely, and our team members balance deeply energizing, high intensity work, with flexible schedules to support life outside of work. Our compensation model reflects these values. Compensation for this role in the United States includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution, and a comprehensive benefits package. You should reasonably expect a base salary of $150,000 - $195,000. In addition, we offer an annual discretionary performance bonus of $30,000 - $50,000.
