Blackpoint Cyber is the leading provider of world-class cybersecurity threat hunting, detection and remediation technology. Founded by former National Security Agency (NSA) cyber operations experts who applied their learnings to bring national security-grade technology solutions to commercial customers around the world, Blackpoint Cyber is in hyper-growth mode,  fueled by a recent $190m series C round.

About the Role:
Blackpoint Cyber is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead key initiatives for our platform of solutions. This is a high-impact role for a technical, strategic, and collaborative product leader who is passionate about building cutting-edge security products that stay ahead of evolving threats.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing to drive the strategy and execution of Blackpoint’s next-generation exposure detection and prevention technologies. Your deep understanding of security operations, combined with your ability to think both strategically and tactically, will directly shape our roadmap and how we bring innovation to market.

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong track record of building security products, is deeply curious about attacker behaviors and defense gaps, and can operate as both a thought leader and a doer.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and lead the product strategy and roadmap for Vulnerability Management and Compliance, partnering with product leadership and key stakeholders across the business

  • Drive strategic initiatives from concept to launch, balancing near-term deliverables with long-term vision

  • Work closely with Engineering and Data Science to identify, analyze, and respond to attacker trends and emerging threats

  • Gather customer, partner, and market insights to inform priorities, product design, and value differentiation

  • Translate complex problems and market needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories

  • Define and track key success metrics—using data to validate impact, refine product direction, and inform decision-making

  • Collaborate with Marketing to craft compelling messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies

  • Partner with Sales and Support to enable customer success, support pipeline growth, and guide future product direction

  • Conduct and maintain competitive and market analysis to inform strategic product positioning

  • Contribute to a strong and supportive product culture—mentoring others, driving alignment, and encouraging continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring:

  • 8+ years of product management experience in cybersecurity, preferably in exposure management, vulnerability management, threat detection, or compliance

  • Experience building and launching technical security products in a fast-paced or startup environment

  • Proven ability to define strategy, align stakeholders, and deliver complex product features end-to-end

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—able to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration

  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to define, interpret, and act on product metrics

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving clarity through documentation and communication

  • Demonstrated ability to connect product development with customer outcomes and business impact

  • Experience working with remote teams across time zones

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a fast-moving team at the intersection of threat intelligence, data science, and product strategy—and play a key role in shaping the future of proactive cyber defense.

Blackpoint Cyber welcomes and encourages applications from qualified individuals of all races,  colors, religions, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, marital  status, or any other legally protected status. We are committed to equality of opportunity in all  aspects of employment.  For eligible employees in the US, Blackpoint offers competitive Health, Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance plans, a robust 401k plan, Discretionary Time Off, and other minor perks.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
