We are seeking a Staff Product Manager to drive vision and execution for our Programmatic and Publisher solutions, with a strong focus on buy-side experience or deep understanding of publisher session dynamics. This is a pivotal role for shaping AI-driven insights, quality measurement, and supply path optimization products at IAS. You’ll work with cross-functional teams on initiatives across programmatic channels, leveraging your expertise to advance our platform for advertisers and publishers alike.

While experience in emerging formats such as CTV or audio is valuable, our top priority is candidates with demonstrated know-how in buy-side platforms (DSPs), agency-side product teams, or deep familiarity with publisher session mechanics.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plans for programmatic and publisher-facing solutions
  • Lead execution of initiatives focused on buy-side requirements, quality measurement, AI-based avoidance, and supply path optimization
  • Utilize your buy-side or publisher session expertise to inform customer problem definition, market opportunity sizing, and value proposition development
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, and agency or publisher partners to increase adoption of IAS offerings
  • Conduct market research on evolving trends in programmatic, in-app, AI, CTV, and Audio
  • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Product Marketing on the design and evangelism of new and existing solutions
  • Serve as a visible advocate for IAS products both internally and externally, building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Support development of publisher-focused capabilities, including pre-bid quality, attention measurement, and supply path tools

You should apply if you have most of these:

  • 7+ years of technical product management experience with at least 2 of those years in a digital advertising experience
  • Significant experience and deep understanding of buy-side (DSP) technology, gained at a demand-side platform, agency, or buy-side ad tech company.
  • Strong technical and analytical background; experience with supply path optimization, AI-driven solutions, or publisher/agency integration is highly valued
  • Practical knowledge of the needs of buyers in DSP environments and/or publisher-side workflow and session mechanics
  • Experience with CTV or audio is a plus, but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate agile environments, prioritize projects, and drive innovation
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills; comfort working across business and technical functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders

New York and California Applicants: The salary range for this position is $135,100 - $231,600. Actual pay may vary based on experience or geographic location.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
