IAS is seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager to lead strategic, high-impact initiatives for our Programmatic and Publisher solutions. This role is central to setting the long-term vision for our product portfolio, aligning our strategies with IAS’s business goals, and championing product excellence across the organization. You will guide decision-making on complex product challenges, drive innovation, and mentor teams to elevate product management capabilities. Your deep expertise in the ad tech ecosystem—especially buy-side (DSP), publisher session mechanics, and advanced bidding —will help push the boundaries of digital media quality and performance.

While experience in emerging formats such as CTV or audio is valued, our focus is on candidates demonstrating strategic leadership and hands-on knowledge of advanced programmatic technologies, as well as a track record of evangelizing high-level ad tech solutions internally and externally.

What You’ll Get to Do

  • Set and champion the long-term vision and strategy for IAS’s programmatic and publisher products, integrating cutting-edge ad tech solutions to meet evolving market and customer needs.
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional product development projects that drive business objectives and innovation at scale.
  • Guide decision-making on complex product and technology challenges, with a focus on advanced programmatic technologies, bid streams, and attention/quality measurement
  • Mentor and develop product management talent, enhancing the team’s capabilities and fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Champion product excellence and innovation, influencing long-term product and technology strategies across the organization.
  • Collaborate across business development, engineering, data science, sales, and external stakeholders to ensure product alignment with business goals, publisher, and advertiser needs.
  • Serve as an ad tech thought leader and evangelist, representing IAS internally and externally, and articulating high-level ad tech strategies and insights.
  • Oversee and drive adoption of sophisticated ad tech strategies—such as supply path optimization, AI-driven solutions, and publisher session analytics—ensuring seamless integration and industry compliance.

You should apply if you have most of these:

  • 12+ years of product management experience with a significant portion in technical product leadership roles, including at least 5 years in digital advertising/ad tech.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic, high-impact product initiatives and aligning product strategies with business goals.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the ad tech ecosystem, including advanced aspects of bid streams; skilled in programming and data analysis relevant to ad performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to mentor and elevate product management teams, sharing knowledge and fostering continuous improvement.
  • Strong track record of high-level cross-functional collaboration, influencing across departments and leading the adoption of sophisticated ad tech strategies.
  • Practical experience integrating advanced tech solutions into publisher and/or buy-side products; familiarity with CTV and emerging formats is a plus, but not required.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills; comfortable guiding teams through complex industry and product landscapes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to evangelize advanced ad tech solutions and articulate high-level strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a thought leader and champion of product excellence and innovation.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
