About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About the Role

As a Staff Product Manager focused on Data Integrations, you will shape and execute Onebrief's vision for how data moves seamlessly into and out of our platform. You'll own strategic integration decisions across robust ELT pipelines and clearly defined external APIs, ensuring our data integrations are reliable, secure, and mission-ready. Working closely with Engineering, Design, Partners, and Users, you'll prioritize high-impact initiatives that enhance operational planning and critical decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Define and Own Integration Strategy

    • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap to integrate internal and external data sources with Onebrief's core platform.

    • Prioritize integration initiatives based on strategic importance, customer impact, and technical feasibility.

  • Drive Robust ELT Pipelines

    • Collaborate with Engineering to build and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable ELT processes.

    • Set and enforce rigorous data-quality standards and implement proactive monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Own External APIs

    • Define product requirements, lifecycle management, and strategic direction for external APIs enabling seamless data flow both into and out of Onebrief.

    • Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure APIs are secure, intuitive, well-documented, and meet developer experience expectations.

  • Measure and Communicate Impact

    • Define clear, measurable success metrics (OKRs/KPIs) that focus on operational outcomes, not just feature outputs.

    • Maintain clear, structured asynchronous communication to facilitate effective collaboration and rapid execution across distributed teams.

About You

You excel in environments marked by complexity and ambiguity, and you're skilled at transforming vast and intricate data flows into clear, actionable insights. You effectively translate technical requirements into strategic outcomes and can align diverse stakeholders. Your approach is systematic, data-driven, and strategic, with a proven ability to deliver high-value outcomes quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience (8+ preferred) as a product manager specializing in data integrations or data platforms, preferably in B2B SaaS environments.

  • Demonstrated expertise managing ELT processes, data transformations, using open source solutions.

  • Proven track record launching and iterating external or partner-facing APIs (REST or GraphQL), emphasizing developer experience and operational performance.

  • Deep knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices, ideally within regulated or defense-related sectors.

  • Exceptional skills in setting measurable goals, tracking key outcomes, and iterating based on empirical insights.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, particularly in asynchronous and globally distributed teams.

  • Bonus: Previous experience integrating military systems, command-and-control software, tactical data links, or telemetry feeds.

Why Join Onebrief?

At Onebrief, your contributions will directly support safer and more effective military operations globally. Join a dedicated, talented team driven by excellence, innovation, and meaningful mission impact.

Compensation Range: $200K - $245K

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
