We’re looking for a talented Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Frontend Platform team. This team is responsible for the internal UI platform powering all Onebrief interfaces, including our shared design system, component libraries, and core and common functionality. You will work closely with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to ensure the consistency, reliability, and scalability of the user interface experience across the application. Your team’s work enables all other client side engineering teams to build faster and better.

What You’ll DoFrontend Platform Development: Lead the evolution of our design system, UI libraries, and shared frontend tooling to enable consistent and performant user experiences.
Developer Experience: Collaborate with stakeholders to improve frontend developer workflows and reduce friction for engineers building product surfaces.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Product Designers, Engineers, and QA to guide architectural decisions and ensure reusable patterns.
Team Building: Grow, mentor, and lead a team of frontend-focused engineers. Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
3+ years managing engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career growth
Proven experience coaching engineers and building healthy team dynamics
History of leading cross-functional initiatives with Product and Design
5+ years of frontend engineering experience, ideally in modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
Strong understanding of shared UI systems (design systems, component libraries) and DX tooling
Experience navigating release processes, breaking changes, and long-term migration plans
Track record of improving developer experience through tooling, documentation, and performance enhancements
Experience owning long-lived infrastructure that supports multiple product teams
Familiarity with observability, automated testing, and frontend CI/CD best practices
Clear, thoughtful communicator who writes well and aligns teams asynchronously
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and surfacing tradeoffs in architectural decisions
Brings a collaborative, low-ego leadership style focused on building trust and shared clarity
Experience with platform teams or shared UI infrastructure
Background in developer tools or performance-focused engineering
Familiarity with military, govtech, or other high-trust or regulated environments
Compensation Range: $225K - $275K
