We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on, self-directed, and high-agency Developer Advocate to actively engage, grow, and build the AI Security Engineering developer community of Snyk users and AI developers. You will actively drive AI security awareness and adoption, powered by Snyk’s AI Security platform, to find and fix security vulnerabilities in applications built with AI.
As the Snyk Developer Advocate:
Make developers and security experts love and adopt Snyk!
You will deliver AI security workshops that use demo applications and popular coding agents to teach developers how to use AI and how to secure AI-generated code using Snyk’s AI Security platform. You will help developers scale up their security knowledge by developing educational content, such as articles, best practices, tutorials, technology deep-dives, and hands-on sessions, in both written and video formats. You will help developers learn how Snyk’s developer-first AI security platform helps them build applications and stay secure.
What You’ll Do:
Strategize and actively engage with your community peers and Snyk partners on-site in your geo region to create meetups, hangouts and deliver sessions and workshops on AI Security.
Build demos and vulnerable applications/processes to show how AI security failures and the significant role that Snyk plays in securing AI-generated code and AI native tools and workflows.
Track, measure and report on KPIs and department metrics with regards to content performance goals and other DevRel activities you will be participating in.
Be the in-house SF-based Snyk AI Security domain expert, advising on developer community matters, providing user feedback to product teams, and other subject matter expertise activities.
Present at events, conferences and community gatherings in the region as well as meet and present to Snyk customers and prospects.
Collaborate closely with Regional marketing, Content Marketing Managers, and other organizations at Snyk to plan, review and build a high-touch developer engagement strategy and pipeline to best drive the developer community to actionable AI security with Snyk’s products.
Research-to-content production of security topics that are highly relevant and effective for developers using AI and highlight Snyk AI security products.
Produce high-quality written and video-based content to engage the developer community.
What You Bring:
Experience in actively engaging and/or leading highly engaged developer communities.
Practical and proven hands-on experience in building applications, demos, and supporting engineering related projects to deliver workshop sessions and talks.
Experience in actively producing high-quality educational content (video preferred, but written is welcome too).
Practical and rich experience with AI coding agents, AI-related workflows, and AI technologies
Experience as a hands-on developer in any language ecosystem with a well-rounded understanding of SDLC, Cloud Native applications, and CI/CD practices, preferred in JavaScript, Java, Python, or Go.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working previously in Developer Relations or similar roles.
