The role:

Business Operations enables our groups and businesses to scale faster and operate more efficiently. SoFi is looking for a data-driven, strategic thinker to join our Technology Business Operations team which supports the engineering product development, IT and Cybersecurity groups. This role will require close collaboration with the CTO staff and business unit stakeholders. You'll have the opportunity to demonstrate a wide range of skills, including strategy development, analysis, financial modeling, problem-solving, program leadership, cross-functional project management, and more.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead key horizontal projects and initiatives within the Technology organization, carefully managing business case scope, dependencies, resources and milestones
  • Partner with the rest of the group to drive continuous improvement of the Technology operating rhythms and processes
  • Support CTO Leads on key business management deliverables including but not limited to budgeting, people strategy and executive presentations
  • Engage with enterprise Business Operations counterparts in other business units and functions on production and delivery of company wide standard process such as annual, quarterly planning and board deck preparation
  • Support company and Technology level culture initiatives

What you’ll need:

  • 6+ years of business administration / operations or program management
  • Passion to learn, responsibly grow our business, and support our mission of helping members get their money right 
  • Clear communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
  • Tell a compelling story – use data to drive strategy, execution, and optimization 
  • Track record of performance in a high growth, dynamic environment 
  • Bias toward action, strong analytical skills, and solid business judgment 
  • Eagerness to roll up your sleeves to get things done (even the unglamorous things) 
  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in FinTech
  • Jira and / or Confluence expertise
  • Experience in investment banking and / or business operations
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
