An impactful nonprofit organization is looking to bring on a Staff Accountant to support its growing finance function. This role offers a chance to contribute to meaningful work while gaining exposure to a range of accounting responsibilities. Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will assist with routine financial tasks and play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely records.
What You’ll Do:
- Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Perform monthly reconciliations and assist in the month-end close
- Help maintain organized financial documentation to support internal reporting and external audits
- Support team efforts related to budgeting, grants, and compliance tracking as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
- 1–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a nonprofit or mission-aligned setting
- Familiarity with basic accounting concepts and general ledger systems
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with financial data
