Job Summary
 
The Senior Project Manager leads teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. They
contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery, enhance company and
department reputation by accepting ownership, exploring new possibilities, and adding value to the organization,
and maintain a strong understanding of business strategies, goals, and missions.
 
Essential Functions
  • Manage programs and products within the company portfolio that range from medium to large in scope, involving a high degree of complexity and numerous resources (including over 30 developers and three or more Business Analysts). Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Monitor team performance against key internal indicators to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide oversight for performance, scope, schedule, and quality, reporting to technical and business leadership.
  • Conduct issue and risk management activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.
  • Provide status reports to leadership on potential impacts to scope, risk, and resources.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels, serving as a role model for teamwork.
  • Mentor and provide subject matter expertise to junior team members to support their professional development.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Execute a wide range of process activities, beginning with requirements definition and continuing through development, testing, and final delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) BA/BS Degree (4-year) in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 4-6 years Strong project management experience in a software development setting.
  • Experience with driving complex, cross-functional expertise projects, leading multiple efforts simultaneously, with complexity and capacity-limiting factors.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development life cycle and various technology methodologies that support that life cycle.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance.
  • Experience with assessing project risks and issues and developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Strong experience with SDLC methodologies: Agile, SCRUM, SDLC/Waterfall, and Hybrid environments to manage projects and ensure that all team members are working collaboratively and efficiently.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred but not required 

Payscale: $142,281.00- $240,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
