Shape the future of trust in the age of AI
At Oscilar, we're building the most advanced AI Risk Decisioning™ Platform. Banks, fintechs, and digitally native organizations rely on us to manage their fraud, credit, and compliance risk with the power of AI. If you're passionate about solving complex problems and making the internet safer for everyone, this is your place.

Why join us:
  • Mission-driven teams: Work alongside industry veterans from Meta, Uber, Citi, and Confluent, all united by a shared goal to make the digital world safer.

  • Ownership and impact: We believe in extreme ownership. You'll be empowered to take responsibility, move fast, and make decisions that drive our mission forward.

  • Innovate at the cutting edge: Your work will shape how modern finance detects fraud and manages risk.

Background

We are seeking a highly skilled iOS Developer to join our exceptional team of engineers, data scientists, and security experts. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our core mobile platform for iOS devices. Your work will be critical in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of signal information, helping fintechs manage fraud, credit, and compliance risks effectively. This is not a UI or App development role, this is building SDKs for detecting fraud by analyzing device and behavioral properties. This requires deep understanding of the platform internals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the research, design, prototyping, implementation, and deployment of holistic end-to-end solutions in the iOS domain.

  • Develop and maintain highly stable, high-performance, and scalable iOS client SDKs that meet the needs of our global enterprise clients.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — including product management, frontend, and data science — to define technical requirements and ensure seamless integration with other platform components.

  • Stay up to date on the latest capabilities of iOS platforms, cloud technologies, and AI/ML frameworks to enhance our mobile solutions.

  • Research and implement new innovations in mobile security as the iOS landscape evolves, including the evaluation of popular third-party SDKs and APIs.

  • Drive best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall growth of the mobile engineering team.

Requirements

Technical Expertise
  • Strong proficiency in Swift for iOS development.

  • Deep understanding of iOS SDK, Xcode, and the iOS application lifecycle, including background execution, memory management, and performance optimization.

  • Experience building SDKs or frameworks consumed by third-party apps, ensuring robust API design and developer experience.

  • Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services via RESTful APIs and JSON.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts, data pipelines, and SQL.

  • Knowledge of basic machine learning concepts, such as supervised and unsupervised learning.

  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

  • Proficiency using Xcode Instruments, Simulator, and debugging tools.

Soft Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for staying current with the latest iOS development trends and best practices.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 5 years of iOS development experience, with a proven track record of deploying stable mobile components at scale (1M+ end users).

Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with fraud prevention, risk management, or fintech applications.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).

  • Contributions to open-source iOS projects or relevant work showcased on GitHub.

  • Knowledge of security best practices for mobile applications.

Benefits
  • Compensation: Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401k

  • Flexibility: Remote-first culture — work from anywhere

  • Health: 100% Employer covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with a top tier plan for you and your dependents (US)

  • Balance: Unlimited PTO policy

  • Technical: AI First company; both Co-Founders are engineers at heart; and over 50% of the company is Engineering and Product

  • Culture: Family-Friendly environment; Regular team events and offsites

  • Development: Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities

  • Impact: Making the internet safer by protecting online transactions

If you are passionate about mobile development and excited about solving complex challenges in risk and fraud prevention, we encourage you to apply. Join us in shaping the future of fintech security and innovation at Oscilar.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
