Job Description

COMPANY:                            Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.

LOCATION:                            168 Third Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451

TITLE:                                    Sr. Staff Architect, Supply Chain IT Strategy and Systems

HOURS:                                  Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:                                 Plan, deliver, implement, and maintain SIOP systems for demand planning, manufacturing resources planning, distribution resource planning, procurement, and direct sourcing. Gather and analyze data in support of proposed projects and systems requirements. Craft and manage the roadmap for supply chain systems by partnering with supply chain leaders and operations to drive business value and continuous improvement. Partner with business leaders to develop and implement strategic solutions for supply chain. Demonstrate leadership in managing teams and projects for system implementations, particularly for advanced supply chain planning implementations. Create project proposals including high level system design and cost to achieve. Travel: Up to 20% domestic and international travel required. Telecommuting Employee: Can work remotely or telecommute.                                                                                                                                   

REQUIREMENTS:                  MINIMUM Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field of study. MINIMUM Experience Requirement:  10 years of experience in any positions in which the required skills can be gained, or a related occupation.  Required knowledge or experience with: Lead role, architect or specialist in supply chain planning systems or ERP systems; Experience in implementing or upgrading and supporting supply chain planning systems or ERP systems for supply chain processes; Partnering with business stakeholders to develop and implement strategic solutions for supply chain; Experience and understanding of Oracle ERP and supply chain technologies; and Experience creating high level system design proposals.
