About the Position

As a Mid-Market Solutions Representative, you'll serve as a front-line revenue generator, responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with mid-sized shippers. While the role has a primary focus in either Over-the-Road (OTR) or Less-than-Truckload (LTL) depending on your experience and team alignment, you’ll have the ability to cross-sell additional services such as Drayage, Distribution & Fulfillment (D&F), and Managed Solutions.

This role is built for a hunter—someone who thrives on strategic prospecting, consultative selling, and creating long-term customer relationships that go beyond transactional freight brokerage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect, qualify, and win mid-market shippers across OTR, LTL, Drayage, and other service modes.

  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline through cold outreach, digital engagement, referrals, and industry networking.

  • Conduct strategic discovery to identify customer pain points and design custom solutions that drive efficiency, cost savings, and scalability.

  • Deliver engaging client presentations that position ITS as a value-added supply chain partner, not just another broker.

  • Own the full sales cycle—from initial contact through proposal, negotiation, and closing.

  • Collaborate closely with Pricing, Operations, and Onboarding teams to ensure smooth transitions and excellent service delivery.

  • Stay informed on freight market trends, pricing fluctuations, and capacity dynamics across OTR and LTL.

  • Use HubSpot CRM to manage leads, pipeline forecasting, and day-to-day activity tracking.

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, driving repeat business and account expansion.

Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of logistics sales experience, preferably with OTR, LTL, Drayage, or Managed Transportation.

  • Proven track record of selling to mid-market customers (not just enterprise).

  • Strong ability to communicate value, present solutions, and close deals in a consultative environment.

  • Experience balancing hunter activity with strategic, outcome-driven selling.

  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work both independently and within a fast-paced, team environment.

Why ITS?
  • Award-winning culture recognized by Inc., Glassdoor, and others

  • Competitive compensation and uncapped commission potential

  • Comprehensive benefits package

  • Ongoing professional development and advancement opportunities

  • Work with some of the largest brands in the world

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
