The Role:

As a Sr. Software QA Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of Logitech’s next-generation software and firmware platforms across our Video Collaboration product line. You will serve as a hands-on quality leader, working closely with cross-functional teams—including development, product management, UX, and hardware teams—to define and execute comprehensive test strategies throughout the product lifecycle.

This role requires a proactive mindset, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to lead QA efforts across geographically distributed teams. You will be responsible for guiding test planning, leading defect triage, and ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality releases in complex, fast-paced environments

Your Contribution:

- Define and own the manual test strategy for new product features, firmware, and platform-level changes

- Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on product requirements, user workflows, and risk analysis

- Ensure test coverage is comprehensive across functional, regression, exploratory, and edge case testing

- Execute manual tests across multiple product lines

- Log defects with clear reproduction steps, root cause clues, and severity classification

- Track and report test results with clarity and consistency, using tools like Zephyr

- Act as a QA owner in cross-functional scrum teams, representing quality in all phases of the SDLC

Participate in design reviews, requirement walkthroughs, and sprint planning to provide QA input early in the process

- Own the quality gate for feature readiness, ensuring all entry/exit criteria are met before production sign-off

- Collaborate closely with development, firmware, UX, and product teams to clarify expected behavior and prioritize issues

- Drive defect triage sessions and influence the resolution of blockers and critical issues

- Work with global QA teams to align on test case ownership, coverage distribution, and reporting cadence

- Identify test gaps, process inefficiencies, and quality risks; propose solutions to improve QA workflows and release stability

- Contribute to the creation and refinement of QA standards, documentation templates, and best practices

- Coordinate test case execution across multiple sites and time zones, ensuring consistent test results and issue tracking

- Review and merge test results from different regions to drive consolidated reporting and defect visibility

Your Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering field

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2+ years in a QA senior role

- Strong background in manual testing methodologies, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with global cross-functional teams

Technical Skills

- Expertise in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports based on product requirements and user workflows

- Solid understanding of test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, JIRA)

- Strong troubleshooting and defect isolation skills across software, firmware, and hardware interfaces

- Basic understanding of automation frameworks (Python) is a plus for transitioning stable manual flows

Domain-Specific Skills

- Experience testing complex consumer devices such as video bars,

- Knowledge of USB, Bluetooth, or wireless communication protocols

- Familiarity with video/audio testing concepts such as codec behavior, camera framing, voice pickup, and conferencing platform integration (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet)

Soft Skills & Leadership

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to lead by example in execution quality, collaboration, and ownership

- Proven ability to mentor junior QA engineers and drive test case reviews and quality improvements

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in cross-team environments

- Comfortable coordinating work across global time zones and working with remote test labs

Compensation:

This position offers an annual base salary typically between $ 140,000 and $ 180,000.  In certain circumstances, higher compensation will be considered based on the business need, candidate experience, and skills.
