As a Sr. Software Engineer on the Dealer.com team, you will design, build and support high-impact software solutions that power the automotive industry's leading digital marketing platform. You'll collaborate with talented engineers and AI agents, leveraging modern technologies and best practices to deliver scalable, reliable, and innovative products.
Your Role- Architect, develop, and maintain robust software applications across multiple platforms, ensuring performance, maintainability, and alignment with product and technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to understand user challenges and design viable, high-quality solutions.
- Lead and participate in Agile planning, story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to peers and junior engineers, especially in AI-augmented development.
- Define and uphold coding standards, review practices, and ethical guidelines for AI use.
- Implement and support AI-powered features and pipelines, contributing to prompt engineering experimentation and sharing tool usage insights.
- Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16years’ experience in a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing highly scalable, high-volume software systems and client-facing web applications.
- Familiarity with front end development practices and integration with back-end technologies (APIs / REST).

- Experience with AI-powered software development, prompt engineering, and collaborating with AI agents is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices, and modern DevOps practices.
- Scrum Developer Certification or equivalent is a plus.
Availability for rotational on-call duties outside of standard business hours may be required.
- Substantial personal responsibility and autonomy; ability to plan and manage your own work.
- Strong influence and communication skills, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical audiences.
