Everbridge is seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Engineer to partner with our Federal Sales Team in driving growth across the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies. This role will focus on positioning Everbridge’s platform as the trusted solution for physical security, risk management, and emergency response to mission-critical events. You will serve as a technical expert and solutions strategist in pre-sales engagements, ensuring that federal customers understand how Everbridge can strengthen resilience, safeguard people and assets, and support national security operations. 

What you'll do

  • Partner with the Federal Sales team to drive opportunities within DoD and federal civilian agencies. 
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with federal stakeholders to understand mission requirements related to force protection, situational awareness, continuity of operations, and emergency response. 
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations, solution architectures, and proof-of-concepts that highlight Everbridge’s value for critical infrastructure protection, insider threat mitigation, and rapid response coordination. 
  • Translate complex federal operational and security requirements into effective solution designs leveraging Everbridge’s platform. 
  • Collaborate with Product, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure solutions align with federal regulations (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD STIGs, etc.). 
  • Support responses to RFPs/RFIs, white papers, and technical proposals with a focus on mission resilience, threat intelligence integration, and physical security operations. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to federal clients on risk management best practices, drawing from deep knowledge of emergency operations and defense/security environments. 

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experienceas a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or in a similar role supporting federal or defense customers. 
  • Strong knowledge of physical security technologies, critical event management, risk intelligence, or command-and-control systems. 
  • Familiarity with federal security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, DoD security standards). 
  • Experience working with or supporting the Department of Defense or federal civilian agencies; active security clearance (Secret or higher) strongly preferred. 
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to brief both technical staff and senior leadership. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, security studies, or related field (or equivalent experience). 

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $118,000 - $158,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
